Vigevano is a town of approx. 60000 inhabitants 35 km southwest of Milan. Its main attraction is the beautiful Duomo Square, characterized in that the facade of the church is aligned with the square, but off-axis with respect to the church. Also notable is the great Sforza Castle, which also houses the Museum of the Shoe. There are also several churches of great value, particularly those of St. Peter Martyr and St. Francis.
