Lake Como

Show an other place around Milan worth a visit: |
Of the three great lakes of northern Italy, the Como is the most famous and the richest of places of artistic value and and of suggestive landscapes (though the Lake Maggiore followes it a short distance). Virtually all the countries bordering on it are worth a visit and in all of them are rich of historical monuments and fascinating sights. This is true for both the most important places, such as Como, Cernobbio and Lecco, both for the smaller ones (Argengno, Ossuccio, Lenno, Bellagio, Tremezzo, Varenna, Dervio, Colico, just to name a few). Then there are the numerous villas and their parks (Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzo, Villa Olmo, Villa d'Este, Villa Erba and many others), which add further charm and value to the lake. Lake Como is easily reached by train (Trenord, Trenitalia). Once you reach you can reach in boat and hydrofoil the various locations.
