Spring enological trip to Pietra de Giorgi

New stage of a new series of trips aimed at combining the discovery of Italian villages and landscapes with wine tasting in the cellars that produce them.
This time we will return to Pietra de Giorgi (Pavia), where, in the first part of the trip, we will taste the production of the Ferrari Farm.
We will then make a small trek in the countryside around.
TASTING
The idea is to be there in the late morning, i.e. around 11.30. There will then be time to visit the cellar and its vineyards to learn about its history.
The vines grown on the company's land are Pinot Noir, Riesling, Croatina and of course Bonarda.

The tasting will take place at lunchtime and will coincide with the lunch. The wines will be tasted together with typical products of the area. The will be a first course and then platters of cold cuts.
Forfait price of the tasting with buffet of typical products: 25 Euros.

WALK
During the small trek we will reach the summit of the Mount Barosina (don't worry, in reality it is a hill just a little higher than the others around!), an authentic natural terrace, overlooking the Po Valley on one side and on the Apennines on the other. When the air is clear you can even see the Alps behind the plain! From that position it will be also possible to admire the various castles all around: Cigognola, Pietra de Giorgi, Mormico and Montaldo.
We will then return to the winery crossing meadows, vineyards and woods and also making a stop at the sulfur spring located just below the winery headquarters.
A meeting will be at the Sondrio undergound station of the MM3 at 9.45 to split up on the cars.

Return to Milan for dinner or after dinner, depending on the inclinations of the participants!
