The history of photography, the invention that this year celebrates its 180th birthday, has always been the result of emotions, research, infinite innovations that neither stop nor know borders, moving from art reserved for the few to universal communication.
Photography is based on two great principles, the aesthetic-creative and the technological, but if its history has rightly been identified with that of the great authors who created it, less attention was paid to the extraordinary evolution of its techniques. It is therefore in the perspective of telling precisely the techniques that have marked the growth of photography that the Museum of Electrical Technology (MTE) of Pavia, established in 2007 with the aim of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of electrical technology, and today important cultural reference point on the territory directed by prof. Michela Magliacani, presents the exhibition "AA.VV. From daguerreotype to digital. Photography and its techniques" by Roberto Mutti.
