Date: 17/10/2022 Fuji x-s1 Lens: Fisso - Fixed ISO: 100 Exposure time: 1/200-1/100-1/50
Aperture: 3.2 Focal lenght: 25mm Place: Biella (Italy) Subject: Torrazza gate at dusk
Notes: Fusion of three pictures on a scale of 2 stops.
Also called Oropa gate, it was built in 1780, in place of an ancient medieval gate, no longer with a defensive function, but a celebratory one: it recalled, in fact, the visit of King Vittorio Amedeo II and Queen Maria Antonia Ferdinanda of Spain to city of Biella and the Oropa Sanctuary which took place in the same year.
At the center of the arch there was originally the coat of arms of Savoy, which however was eliminated in 1798, during the period of the French Revolution.
